Hi All On my 29 Sport Coupe front end I currently have the following: 37-41 round back spindles 39-42 backing plates (horrible rusty ) 46-48 hub/drum ***y's I have a nice set of 42 - 48 backing plates to replace the rusty 39-42's As far as I can tell these will bolt up to the 37-41 round back spindles without any modification? On the rear I also have another pair of rusty 39-42 backing plates which will also be replaced by a set of 42-48 backing plates, which I'll modify as per the instructions from Dennis Cling to clear the spring perch. Any help most welcome
Kept on looking, and I think I've found the answer http://www.autonetnewengland.com/in...-early-ford-spindles-fitting-early-ford-axels
Sure the backing plates will interchange just fine. But make sure you get the correct year shoes and pivots as they are particular to the two versions of backing plates.
Hi Alchemy Thanks for sanity check , I think (hope ) I've got all the bits. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
