does anyone know a site that sells special upper and lower a-arms for air bags for 55-57 chevy bel-air? or is their a way to modify the regular controll arm ( I seen someone do it in a lowrider magazine section. )

I'm not sure what your asking for. Do you want tube arms or dropped arms to upgrade when you bag it? THe stock arms will work fine if there in good working order and depending how low you wanna go. The bags bolt to cups on each end that are the diameter of the stock spring. then the whole ***embly goes into place where the spring was. The top cup comes with a stud that goes up through the top of the frame in the spring pocket to hold the whole thing in place. Lots of Rodders use Air-Ride technology stuff because they specialize in bolt in specific kits for old cars. THey are quite pricey. A good fab shop that does air suspensions could do it for you for less than what just the Air-ride kit costs. Hope this helps.

  5. Air Ride Tech. sells good stuff, but just be prepared to modify their parts to work. I recently installed a complete Cool-Ride system with tubular control arms, trailing arms, panhard, & sway bars on a car and had to modify nearly everything included, even though they told me it was a direct bolt on kit where I'd have no grinding, cutting, or welding to do.

Try http://www.layitlow.com for any tech questions along the lines of this.
Make sure to be clear that the arms you need are expressly for the "BEL-AIR" model and not just a base 150.

You obviously are into Old school low riders so they MAY have some answers for "body dropping" your Nissan too! Can't hurt to ask them.
    It'll be the snizzle....dizzle.

BTW...whats the phone number for TCI? I'm thinking I need to check on something...;)

Check out suicidedoors.com. They don't have anything specific for 55-57 chevys, but if all you really need is cups and bags they are reasonably priced and can make cups to your specifications. Very helpful bunch.

If wanting tubular control arms, fabricate them yourself or get someone who knows what the hell they're doing to do it for you, they are pretty simple to make and look alot better than the stock control arms.

Just make sure nothing rubs and you have clearance when bag if deflated.
