Hi Tim, good to hear from you. No, I built it in the early '90s. It's got a Westcott body, 500 inch Cadillac, 400 turbo and a 9 inch.
First off....great thread. I've seen Joe Nitti's name mentioned a couple of times, so I thought I would post an article from Hot Rod Magazine June 1950. For what it's worth...here it is.
Ok I'll contribute. First time I've posted a pic of my roadster that I just (not quite) finished a couple of months ago.
Hemi, steelies, vintage caps. What's not to love ? Congrats to another Deuce highboy owner. We be strong ! !
I like your top, Detroit. I do have a Bop Top because there is no way in Hell I could build an acceptable top, acceptable to me or anyone else. I chose the Bop Top over the Rod Top. You did good.
Mine - from last week. it's currently going through some changes that should be wrapped up before the Roundup. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Mine is getting closer, wiring it this weekend and then I have a few little things to do before I put the hood on and take it to upholstery. .
the plan is to start this project this spring, lincoln brakes, trans, hubcaps, auburn dash, 99 block, pre-war style, etc, etc.
Gary Addcox, Wow! That's an old pic... I think it was about an hour drive at 13 F that day. Here's a bit more recent one in a bit warmer temps...
Hey Bud, the black one is outstanding from the back, how about some more shots. Mines not a Henry but it is Damascus Oregons finest
Here's my '32 roadster I just bought from a friend in Nashville, TN. Was built in 1996 and has been driven 34,000 hot rod miles (often with me following it in my '32 Studebaker President!) I'm a nostalgia and steel car guy and I do realize this car is a Gibbon body with Rootlieb hood, but with the history and my knowledge of this car and the long friendship of the previous owner, I had to have it to play with a few years...Was painted and striped in 1996 by Rick Harris of Nashville and it is amazing how well it has held up over 19 years and 34,000 miles of driving..also has the (I believe no longer available) Etchison Machine Knock offs on AR torque thrusts..... I have replaced the front tires with narrower 165/80/15's since these pics.....also got rid of the billet banjo and added a Schroeder 15" flat Indy style four spoke steering wheel.....Joe
