Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by oldsteel.customs, Feb 2, 2015.

  1. Has anyone converted a 46 Dodge truck front axle to disc brakes?

HAMBer Olddaddy (Charlie) sells a kit that uses Mopar discs & GM calipers. He knows his stuff, too. Nice guy.

I think it's also possible to use Ford Explorer brakes

Key to both is a heavy plate bracket that bolts to existing spindle & mounts the brakes.

    Check out p-15/d-24 forum too.

I've had the Plydo disc kit on the stock axle of my '36 Dodge for 15 years now, still stopping great!
