I could use some tire suggestions for my 54 Chevy. Its got a MII front clip that sits pretty low. I picked up some 16" AR Salt Flat Specials that I really really dig, and I have just been running them with the tires they came with, which are 245/50r16. The front tire size fits pretty well, although something a little taller would work(and probably look better. My main problem is how bad those low profile tires look in the rear. I've tried just looking for larger tires with the same aspect ratio(couldn't find much at all), and I've also tried going with a numerically smaller aspect ratios with similar sizes, and have not found much there either... Oh, and the wheels and 16x8"... I've got very very little tire sizing experience, so I was hoping somebody that does, or somebody with a similar set up could chime in and guide me the right direction.

The truck had some horrible looking 15x8 aluminum wheels on it when I got it, and 255/70r15 tires that did a really good job filling out the rear fenders, but had some rubbing up from(at full stop, or pulling into driveways). Also, both for cost and availability(should one be damaged when I'm not near home), I would prefer to stick with fairly common tire sizes, but its not a must.

    Thank ya'll for any guidance!

The current tire is about 25.5" tall x9.7 wide
    The 255/70/15 were 29.1x10

A 255/65 16 would be 29.1 tall x10 wide. About the Same over all as your 15s

A 245/75/16 would be about 30.5 tall same width as current.
255/70/16 would be 30.5 tall and 10" wide

Now, you just need to find a tread pattern and side wall you can live with

Thats a great tool! Thank you! All I had found previously was calculators that showed you numbers, not all the other helpful stuff this one has(such as similar tire sizes and so on)
