Can someone ID this seat ?

    I carried this thing for a half mile though the desert while hunting today ,
    Anyone know what it is from ? Its got "Im old as hell rust" on it , Good shape, no bullet holes , Approx 47 " across the back . Any ideas welcome ,

    PHEW ! I wasnt sure , any idea what it might be worth ? Most dont run across seats very often .:D

    I know this is o/t ,but what were you hunting in the desert? If you were hunting a seat looks like you were succesful it might score good in Boone and Crocket!

    I was quail hunting , Just imagine me draggin this with my left arm and trying to keep my shotgun ready in my right for the singles I was kicking up .:D

    Kinda OT but Ill do anything to keep this thread on the first couple pages ;)

    Looks like a typical late 30's early 40's four door Mopar car front seat frame. My '40 Chrysler has a similar one. They were originally upholstered over the metal frame and with a cushion on the bottom that was removable to get at the battery, that's how my '40 is.

    I'm bettin' someone in the 60's dragged that ***** out there to sit on while hunting and left it for nature to devour it's upholstery off. The springs with no wooden mounts is too modern a setup to go on anything newer.

    California Department of fish and Game here. We noticed you removed this from the field without properly afixing a tag to it. A DFG agent will contact you on Monday, please be prepared to surrender your license, your camoflage, and your hip flask.

    I believe it is a bit earlier MOPAR, as most 40's stuff is 52/53 inches wide.
