These ones with matt grey spokes? 13126.jpg

  3. Those would give it a muscular look, which would not be bad at all.... it's a very clean truck and I'd do the torque thrusts but it all depends on what you want.

Funny thing is I like the look of the Jag wheels that are on the front of it now. Torque Thrust would look good too.

    How about steelies and lancers?

  6. <==== I like 'em.

  7. ...since your truck is somewhat a mild custom, if you go with the greyspokes put on a narrow whitewall tire, or chrome reverse with the same tire mite look good.

  8. I'd do the torque thrusts and some red lines, just would be good with that colour, and would be different

Those wheel would look great on your truck.
Would give it a 'lean and mean" look.

Looks like you're going to need a deep back space.

Torque Thrusys almost always look good and would be a great choice for your truck, but you might want to consider simple steel wheels w/baby moons and trim rings. I personally am not a fan of white walls of any kind especially on a truck.

White walls on pick ups, is just plain tacky.

  18. I like 5 spoke Americans, and have for a long time. Obviously I lean toward vintage wheels, but I also don't believe that everything driven needs to ride on vintage so I guess my leanings become a moot point here.

The truck will look good with Americans, I don't think that they actually scream custom but the truck will look good with them,.

I have to agree for your truck.

Clarence (my '48 F-1 panel) has ET's all around. Nearly identical to American Torque Thrusts. BUT, I believe that the 5-spokes won't do your nice truck the justice that steelies will.

Just my $0.02 worth; probably not worth that.

I always likes the torque thrust look, but do you have matching drums, or discs? I always think they should match.
So I hid my mismatch with smoothies. It also hides the wheel spacers.
    But I do love a 5 spoke wheel IMG-20130601-00975.jpg

Just to give a different opinion..

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooo.

Nothing says SummitRacing like new torqthrusts.

I would run stock steel with Olds or Lyons caps and BF Goodrich biasplys. And lower it more. :)

None of that ^ is meant to be offensive to anyone.

I lean closer to what Dreddybear says. I vote painted steel wheels either with or without hubcaps. I like Torq Thrusts and have had them on a few vehicles, but don't think they fit the style of your truck.

  25. I would use those in a skinny minute!

I have always said that the 5 spoke is my favorite wheel and they would even make a dump truck look good! HRP

My vote goes for the Torque Thrusts. You original idea is valid enough for someone who likes these wheels, only on the right vehicle, and thinks they would seal the deal for a 'clean' look on your truck. Don't let the nay-sayers who generally have negative opinions about things in general and other people's ideas in particular, or their spin on one particular source or branding, bring you down. These particular rims add a timely look that compliments fifties and later forties rides, when those rides are not too far over the top, or beg other kinds of wheel jewelry. The gray, unpolished aluminum look says utility and reduces un-sprung weight. That means the owner looks beyond bling when adding aftermarket parts; and 'the look' does not detract from a user friendly pickup, even if yours is a little more than that. To the positive side, yes. Go for it!

Get some Moon discs for the wheels you've got on there now and make it look like a Bonneville push truck. Switch back & forth with the 5 spokes for a totally different look.

Are you sure those wheels will even go on your truck? From that picture, it appears you need a lot of backspacing and very little offset. I don't think they make those wheels like that.

I could be wrong, just how it looks to me. I really like the picture Dreddy posted with full wheel covers, you could always do something like that if the five spokes won't fit.

  30. I used later model Ford PU wheels and 57 car dog dish caps on my '48. 2011 09 21 m.JPG
