    Hi there,

Olivier, 41 and proud to be Flemish, firefighter, 2cv enthousiast.Sorry bout my poor English...

Like to present latest project : Rattus Ferrum.

don't know if this should be a traditional or a hot rod... not very shure this could be a real hot rod... since engine in no more in front... sorry if i'm in the wrong category!

base is 2cv, parts from all over the years modified or adjusted.

Mid -Engine 2cv 602cc,(standard in front)
    channeling
    lengten ch***is by 32 cm
    stiffen and modified suspension completely
some metalwork to close the engine just behind driver seat

    thank's for wathing!

Yes, i know, it's not American and it doen't have a BIG engine... but, hey, some like to drive slow ...or try to go fast with what they have, from 0 to 100 km/h in 36 seconds... anyone slower here? :))

i agree that it's different to the most of the other cars here on the hamb, and maybe it does not diserve to be here cause most of here are very great custom made! respect ti what i see!!! , i'm just a very small snailer .

Oliver: Welcome to the Hamb. The Citroen is pretty cool looking. Hang around with us for a while and you'll figure out how the Hamb operates. Have fun! Tim

Hi. Don't worry about your English. I would hate to think what would happen if I tried to write in Fin.

That is really a nice custom rod you have there. That looks like a great job of converting what you have to convert with and coming out with something really neat.

Back in the mid 50's I could do the quarter mile drags in right at 20 seconds with my MG TD. Called that having fun with what I had. When that little 1500 cc engine was stock it was flat out at 76 MPH. Bored 0.060 and a street cam & slightly domed pistons it would top out at 105 on the Hwy.

Although the Citroen is not your run of the mill hot rod or custom it is definitely different and pretty cool! HRP

  11. wow! thats wild indeed. Nice job, does the top open up/ roll up? so how does it perform compared to the front mounted motor style?
I like the front fenders and did you do the hood peaks? the car looks great!

Perfect example of working with what you have! Super job on it. Who would have ever guessed a 2CV could be a cool custom? Very cool, indeed.

Congratulations on serving as a Firefighter, too. You're a great ***et to your community.

    Hello,

whaw! what an amazing welcome here! never thought i would get so good compliments over a tin snail!

To answer some questions : it rides like a kart , suspension is stiff as rock...and pushes in the back (drift is possible when wet roads)
The bonnet is an original bonnet from early 2cv untill 1959, afterwards you get the flat bonnet.

there are many pieces on the car that are original from early 2cv , the body itself is a late model, but i closed the third window to make it look older .
The front fenders are Harley parts modified.

Best compliment i could ever imagine, when i started the project everybody was telling me : you are doing something too weird, you never manage to get the engine and all pedals/cluth/brakes in the back without reversing the engine/gearbox... i knew since many years that i would manage it, and also how to do it.
never made a simple drawing, never calculated anything, everything was already in my mind before i started the first grinding/cut and yes : it rides like a real great car!
