How many turns lock to lock ? I am using the same box in my 40 pickup, mine is 4 turns. Ch***is Engineering sells a plate that will bolt it right in. I would use it over a Vega, if it's in good condition.
The PO made a bracket to mount to frame. Problem I have is pitman arm is not long enough. Found a universal arm in speedway for a repo box,I'll call in the am to see if it will fit Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
It's identical to the steering box in my truck, which came out of a '64 Chevelle. The splines are the same as a '37-'48 Ford pitman arm. I have the original Ford pitman arm on the Saginaw box in my truck.
Is this a good box to use, ill end up buying a pitman arm and rebuild kit for it so, is it worth spending money on it or getting something that might be better. Thanks for all the help Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
