How many turns lock to lock ? I am using the same box in my 40 pickup, mine is 4 turns. Ch***is Engineering sells a plate that will bolt it right in. I would use it over a Vega, if it's in good condition.

The PO made a bracket to mount to frame. Problem I have is pitman arm is not long enough. Found a universal arm in speedway for a repo box,I'll call in the am to see if it will fit

  7. It's identical to the steering box in my truck, which came out of a '64 Chevelle. The splines are the same as a '37-'48 Ford pitman arm. I have the original Ford pitman arm on the Saginaw box in my truck.

Is this a good box to use, ill end up buying a pitman arm and rebuild kit for it so, is it worth spending money on it or getting something that might be better. Thanks for all the help
