Got one of those for the 322 Buick nailhead I'm putting together for my '37 Chevy truck. The early nailhead has the starter on the driver side of the engine where it competes for space with the exhaust, steering box, clutch and brake pedals, etc. If I can get a traditional starter in there, I will and save the mini starter as a roadtrip spare.
Using PowerMaster unit on my flathead, came in Flat-o-Matic kit to adapt C4 trans.......works great, sounds good and lites it up every time.........couldn't handle the constipated dog sound from a stock starter, 'specially on 6V........
Please provide model number info etc for for the Power Master starter as the Speedway catalog shows the Stump Master is used for manual transmissions. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I've used Power Master's version on several deuce roadsters with FH's. Never had a problem. These cars went overseas so I hope their still working.
