Can any one ID these wheels?

I found these wheels at a swap meet $20 for the pair. I thought they may work well on the front of my 29 coupe but I see it's hard to find wider rear 16" wheels for the back that are 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern.
These rims are 16 x 4 and are 5x4.5. They have numbers on the inside of the rim.

Probably a Mopar of the late 40's.

If you might want another hard to find wheel with a 4.5 pattern that WILL take a 40's Ford hubcap, look for some wheels from an International pickup of the later 40's. Different sizes are available.

Looks like my 1946 Dodge wheels. I believe they went to 15" in 1947.

Yeah, 40-47 Dodge/Plymouth/non-Imperial Chrysler. I was under the impression Mopar went to 15" in '48 but I could be wrong.

The guy I got them from said they were in the trunk of a 39 mercury. That probably doesn't mean anything though. It does have the number 46 at the end of the inside number stamping. I'm going to be running after market 37-41 spindles with the 5- 4.5 rotors not the stock ones.

What all wheels will take a 40 ford center cap and what do the rims look like that they will fit on. That's the look I want.

I would think the hub cap clips would be the best clue.

Am I invisible? Like I said up above: You need some International pickup wheels. They look exactly like '48 Ford wheels, except the bolt pattern is 4.5". The Ford hubcap snaps right on. They come in different sizes and offsets, so make sure you get a matched pair.

While I am not sure of the full year model range, I do know for a fact that some Dodges used wheel studs with nuts, not wheel bolts. I did notice these do not have the locating pin holes, but everything else about them 'says' Mopar, so I attributed them to Dodge.

What's the back side look like? If it looks like the front great, if it's "belled" you may have caliber clearence issues.
    Just a heads up.
