Here's mine, the black one is a recent purchase, making some minor changes for safer driving before spring!

Boy I wish this was mine. This color was my second choice after black. One of each would be swell.

  16. Here's mine - it was on the "40 Is 60" tour the late Art Branum had done back in 2000 and I had another 40 that was in his "40 Is 50" tour back in '90....

  17. That's Chuck's car again at Pomona. He's in his 70's and this was not his first cross country trip. He's got a flatty and a 5 speed in it too! Here's another shot on the road from our trip .

Here's a few we have done--looking now for another to keep me busy. The dlx coupe with the whitewalls is our old standby-was at the outdoor show at the Sac Autorama-it's #4 and built in 07-the CMG std is #13. Lots of really nice ones posted-love the maroon one in post above.

In post #61 where was that taken. Back in 1997-8 I got one from San Luis Obispo that Art Branum was aware of. Looked very much the same and we/he had a picture of it running at Santa Maria sometime in the late 50's. It left here in 03 after we refreshed it and is somewhere in the San Joaquin valley last I heard.

Here is a pic of mine shortly after I got it. I bought it at a garage sale 10 miles from home, 40000 actual miles with one repaint in the sixties.

It had the stock flatly when I got it. The only mods were 15" wheels and dual exhaust. I put the dropped axle , chrome wheels and cadillac engine in it

^^^^ What I said. The caddy came out of a garage... and was apparently in a dang nice one before it got into the 40!!
Great story, great car, great engine, too!

I know this is going to cause angst but if I owned a 40 I'd put 37-39 headlite buckets in it! Just saying...
