35 pound solenoids

    35 lbs should be enough pull to open the door on a 51 Chevy right? My latches seem to work easy, and 35 lb solenoids are alot less $$$ than the 50 lb.
     
  2. Yeah they should be able too.. Worse case you may have to weld a small tab onto the lock mechanism to act as a lever of sorts. I did something similar on my 47 chevy

    They work on a 50.

    There is a metal rod that connects the handle that opens the door to the latch.
    I wasn't able to get them to work with the metal rod attached.

    If you change the metal rod to a cable it will free up tension to make things work.
