    How long is an 8ba from bellhousing to water pump hubs? Thanks Jay

    Believe that is going to depend on the water pumps, different water pumps will change the measurement. Obviously it will be the block length plus the water pump, so decide on a pump and add it to the block length.

    Mine is 28 inches from the front of the crank pulley to the back of the block where the bellhousing bolts up. 27 inches from crank pulley/front of water pumps to back of intake and the oil pressure line on the left (US drivers) side of the engine. The truck bellhouising, hogshead and Jeep adapter that are on it take up about 6-1/2 inches beyond the back of the block.

    This odd shot shows how the fan pulley sticks out approximately 1-1/2 inches in front of the crank pulley.

    Comparing overall length of a Flatty to my Jimmy 6. Got a new project idea bouncing around. Hows the Queen of Visa?
