This trans has a nice opening in the top. Is there a top loader with shifter rather than a after market product? Maybe chev or gmc pk-up? Any one ? Thanks

I have seen it done with an adapter plate, using an early Ford top. One of the forks was grafted together.

Harder to find but easier to swap is to use the '37 Roadmaster case and top shift with all the internals and tail from the Olds.

F&J posted a great how to thread on doing the swap here on the HAMB

I followed it to make the swap my '58 transmission

^^^^^the Buick 5 bolt top cover ****** is easier to find but it is not the one that will work so don't get caught by that if and when you are searching for a Buick ******.:rolleyes:

Thank you , food for thought. Adapting ford top sounds like the first challenge.

There can't be a lot of those Roadmaster cases left.
