Picture of a relative, the later Traveler, then an even later one...these things were rare even back when lots of Frazers and Kaisers were still sitting in used car lots (in the back row)...
The only one I ever noticed, the early Frazer type one, was in Mississippi...when I saw it, it had just the lower gate down with the aft three feet or so of a boat sticking out. It was very neat looking, especially since the boat had almost exactly the same cross section as the opening.
I think the Argentine Kaisers stayed in production long after '55, with some updated sheet but clearly identifiable from the odd little peak in windshield.

  3. Yes, kaiser was the traveller and Frazer was the vagabond. These are what they made instead of the pickup we've been talking about.

I don't even know if Fraser marketed any products down here let alone RHD utes, never heard or seen of any down here. Us Ozzies had the locally produced US bodied Ford and Chevy coupe utilities that weren't offered over there. GM Holden's was just getting their versions into production. Local content was growing as US bodied cars were being tackled by locally designed products.

Cool find, either way. I would make it look just like the one in the B&W photo. Lettering and all.
IMHO...Needs to be restored not Hot Rodded.

  8. Hello Again!
I have contacted the man that owns the 1947 Kaiser concept promotional pickup that Madman Muntz Commissioned built to see if there was a market for a luxury pickup.
The owner was kind enough to give me his serial and body numbers off his truck and they match up with my truck!!!! Just days apart off the factory line!
There were 3 made. One was a Frazer and the other 2 were Kaisers. That makes this truck a 1of 1!!!!!!
I have also found many details that shows that this is one of the three trucks commissioned by Muntz!
Thanks to everyone that has help do***ent this truck!

  9. So instead of the $50 the last one of those we had around was worth, maybe it's worth $150. Kaiser-Fraisier guys are notoriously cheap....

On the other hand, parts for it shouldn't be too awful bad to come by, if you like it enough to do something with it.

It should be redone to look like this, But im diggin' on the daisy wheels!

  12. $150 cool! The other concept truck like this one has an appraisal of $350,000! No Joke. This is a true promotional concept and only 3 were made. 2 were kaisers and 1 was a Frazer and that 1 is this truck!
And Yes, parts will be fairly easy!
    Thanks
