Need information on this club plate/plaque. I 've searched the name, but none of the sites I looked at used this image. Any help is appreciated.

Thats really strange. I have a two year old doodle of a car club plaque i thought up in my math class in a composition book by my computer; almost exactly the same thing. A hand reaching out after a car with the name untouchables across the top. I thought it was really original...

  5. I dont think that was for any specific club. If you look in the old hotrod mags Speed Gems sold generic plaques like that to anybody that did not have the ability to design and submit their own ideas for casting. Check them out and tell me what you think. I just taking a stab here.

check with Obrien Truckers on here he has patterns for several hundred plaques as I'm told he may know more about it .I,ve got to agree though I can remember JC Witney and a few other parts catalogs advertising generic club plaques most said for a small aditional charge they would add your city to the bottom.I also had an old mag from the 50s that showed you how to cast your own 3D club plaque with a duece coupe 3/4 view using a model car it looked like the car was driving out of the background

  7. I think JC Whitney still sells that plaque.

Thanks man. Don't know why I didn't think to search Speed Gems, as there was a hit right off the bat. Cool plate, but as all yall said, definately not unique.
http://www.relicsandrods.com shows a BUNCH of them in the no cities section. Cool stuff...

  9. Yep, what you have there is an old Speed Gems "stock" plaque. And here is the original pattern that your plaque was made from - straight from our collection of 4100 Speed Gems patterns (that sit next to our ~7000 Chicago Metal Craft patterns). How many do you need:D
