I want to put new hubcaps on my ride but they only make the hubcaps in 15 inches. Can you fit 15 inch hubcaps on 16 inch wheels? The hubcaps are Chrysler and the wheels are Coker Universal Hot Rod Wheels.
Hubcaps or wheel covers? They are different. Wheel covers usually clip in around the rim, so if the wheel diameter is larger than the size the cover is made for, no, they won't clip on.
I was deciding between these two. They are sold on Hubcaps.com. I think they are classified as wheel covers I'm not sure
Seen it once with a 14 attached to a 15 trim ring but then you got 2 valve holes. Don't know how it was attached couldn't see anything but it looked weird. Paint the wheel and find some dogs or center caps.
You may be able to adapt the 15" wheel cover to a 16" beauty ring.. I spot welded one that way for a spare tire in one of my coupes.. I hope someone comes up with a better way to do it because 16" wheel covers are very hard to find...
I'm pretty sure Chevrolet did this a few years ago on the 16'' Suburban wheels, they used a 16'' trim ring and snapped a 15'' hubcap into it.
When I got my 39 Ford someone had used trim rings and used three very small screws to attach the hubcaps, just like they used to do with Moon Discs
Is it this one? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/cadillac-sombrero-hubcaps.432784/ This may also help; http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/tech-caddy-sombrero-mounting-with-epoxy.225872/ This is another way to do it; http://www.imperialclub.com/~imperialclub/Repair/Wheels/convert/index.htm
I'm quite late here but Ford made 16 inch Reducer Trim Rings to Fit 15 inch Hubcaps These rings were made by Ford so you could put a 15 inch Hubcap on a 16 inch Ford Truck. I ended up here because I am looking for the same thing for 14" caps on 15" rims
