Just made a killer deal on a 401" Buick Nailhead. Bought a rebuilt engine with tri-power and finned Offenhouser valve covers for $2500. Included in the deal was an aluminum bell housing and adapter to mount a Chevy manual trans. A rebuild Muncie M21 was also included in the deal. These pieces will now replace the BBC and Doug Nash 5-speed that I was putting together for the 1928 Highboy Roadster that I am building. Sorry, but for some reason I am unable to download a picture.
Great to see that someone is replacing a BBC with something interesting. Most folks take the easy way and do it the other way around. Your Doug Nash should bolt up to that bell housing and would give you the advantage of the overdrive. Check the year of your engine as you may need the later model starter for your combo.
