Local Classic Parts Yard Goin Out Of Business

    hopkins antique auto parts here in caldwell idaho is going to be closing its gates next month. the land was bought out by a company to build a subdivision, and all the stuff they have is gonna be crushed if if aint bought. they have damn near everything from 1920 thru 1960. im gonna be going to buy a whole shitload of stuff from them this weekend. theyre selling everything for dirt cheap, so get here while it lasts.

    Jezz I just learned of this yard last weekend to.Damn it!
    was told the newest stuff he had was maybe mid 50's and usually anything but ford,typically stude,mopar,and some chev?

    Quess ill have to try to take a few days off and make it up there!

    Are they the kind of outfit that will ship stuff or is it a "cranky old fart with a shotgun" type of place where they are a low service type of place? Could you pick up some requested items if they have it???

    theyre open thursdays - saturday from 8 to 5.

    i don t know if theyd ship anything. you have to give em a call and see what theyd say.

    Is that the one west of town overlooking the freeway kinda on a hill?

    If so they were/are good bunch folks.Been long time since I was in that
    neck of the woods.I worked at Barger-Mattson for about 6 years in the
    70's.

    We'll miss those folks ... ran a wrecking yard and raised beef on the same land, so when you were out pulling parts, you had to watch where you stepped ... Les always had time to talk to his customers & the numerous outbuildings were full of surprises ... came very close to getting married there.

    Damn! That's like losin' both legs and an arm. Bought a lot of stuff over the years from Les and Donny. Gonna miss them.

    Bttt, and trying to figure a way from spokane and back, any pics??? would like to go with a friend and "buy" as much as possible to save from the scrappers!!!!

    About 9 years ago I sent them 50 bucks for a front end piece for my 59 chevy, still waiting for it, called several times then just chalked up the loss. If you see them tell em its not to late to send the passenger side front valance panel that goes under the bumper.
