I joined the HAMB in 2011 shortly after my father was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer and in a time of self pity, I spent over an hour trying to write an introduction that was more like my life story. After creating the masterpiece, I wasn't able to post because my session had expired. Frustrated, I didn't follow through with the introduction. I made a promise to my father the week before he p***ed away in August, 2011 that I would finally build the 34 Ford 5W Coupe that he had bought for me in 1975 when I was 13. The 34 has an incredible history from the years it took to buy it, to it catching fire when we picked it up, to being stolen for years before getting it back. His reply was that he wanted "two chemo treatments" the next session so he could be around to see it. A week later, he was gone! It took me quite a while to get started, but in the summer of 2014 I started and would like to share it and some of my car stories going forward. My first memories as a child were of my father as the Service Manager at a Ford dealership in Demopolis Alabama. His p***ion was cars and drag racing and I couldn't help but get car fever as his tag-along. My family owned some of the most incredible cars as I grew up. To sum it up, my mother is 72 and her daily driver is a 1998 SS Camaro.
Yes it is. Butch and his brother Tom are good friends and willing to share their knowledge and experience. I am learning so much and having a blast!
