Hot Rods Power steering Pump

    Has anyone used a cavalier power steering pump for their rack and pinion conversion? If so how did you mount it ?:confused:

    Looking at some on O'Reilly's website for a 93 I'd think you have better options out there even if you have one sitting there for free.
    If you decide to use it it will be 100% fab your own bracket from scratch. That might not be that hard if you are a decent fabricator and can think outside the box and design things but it might be a challenge if you have a hard time visualizing the end product with nothing there but a pump held up so the pulley lines up with the other pulleys.

    I don't have a pump yet but was just trying to aliminate trying to set a pump up for rack pressure.I have a 318 dodge engine in the car so I might have a peek at some dodge pumps.I think some were the same as the old GM pumps if I remember correctly
