Cool! I was building a 64 GTO sedan a few years back as a 60's drag car. I will be following the progress.

  3. Frame clean up was easy. Had a dude from Grinnell sand blast it then it was epoxy primed! Cha-Ching!

Ha, I did the same thing, put all my naked girly pictures on the back side of my shop doors so my wife couldn't see them with the doors open. I don't know how she busted me but eventually she did.

  6. Hey G***er goat, wondering if you post a better pic of the front hanger and shackle, me and my bother are doing a camino and like the way you cleaned up the frame, your hanger looks good, but can't really see it that well. Thanks for your time.

That's one neat Poncho project you've got going on. The '64 has always been my favorite Goat. Looking forward to your progress...awesome so far!

Love it. Any Pontiac policemen were new car buyers, not builders..(.or else they are newcomers who played soccer in high school) :)

    I'm diggin this build.

  11. Here's a close up of the front shackle mount. I added a 1x1 steel support between the 2 sides. The ends will be capped with steel also.

  12. My bro was bored so he used my shop door as a test mule and painted it.

  13. Here's the frame after it was squirted with epoxy primer. We had heavy mil plastic hung and box fans exhausting the fumes outside. No brain cells were harmed during the priming phase.

It looks like they used my buddy Dil Brandow's car for inspiration for that metal sign.

Hopefully it will give you some inspiration for your GTO project as well.

GTO folks lust for the hoods I'm sure. It's amusing to know you're gonna cut a hole in one. Running back through the thread looks like the rear is a 10 bolt. Eek.

  20. It's a 10 bolt out of a 65 Chevelle. It'll do for now. Driveshaft is a mark Williams chromoly unit from my 67 cheelle.

Looks like a lot of work getting done. The orange rear is going to look good under that new floor.
