I think a dash from a 51 chevy car would be cool.

Love the white steering wheel with the black dash purdue there is a swap meet around me next weekend maybe I will barrow your steering wheel idea.

  7. You have almost limitless possibilities. decide what you like, take measurements, modify as needed and then install your custom dash. Probably good to stay with dash from similar V-windshield and your age or older so width and shape are closer to your truck's required shape and size.

Don't forget the dash panel has a lot to do with the rigidity of these cabs. Build strong.

Here is a pic of mine. It's from a 64 Chevy Impala. If I could of found one, I would liked to of use a 54 GMC dash. I think they are a nice lookin truck dash. Bill

I guess since your dash is out that you realize how much work it is to remove one from an AD truck..

After I took the dash out of my '51 GMC I started hunting for a '59 Chevy car dash for that art deco look.

Instead I found a '63 Mercury Monterey instrument cluster at a swap meet and liked it so much that I scrounged up the rest of the dash. it will take some modification, read that cut down, but I think that it will fit what I am doing with the truck.

If you have access to an old car junkyard take a tour and see what makes you stop and look.
