Bought this old Volvo from a friend to use as a daily driver. Will be more customized and get some color to. Any thougts or ideas??
I've seen a few that were done in traditional style, even chopped. Do a Google image search and you'll see some. They have a shoebox shape and come with a 51 Merc style rear window.
I was close to grabbing one of those locally a few years ago... Always loved the fact that you don't see many around. Totally agreed on the shoebox-esque style
First thing I would try and find some real Lucas Flamethrowers and loose the tri bar headlights, or switch to a more common looking light. I may do something different with the wheels and tires too. other then that I would paint it a deep blood maroon and call it good.

Have some flat gold pearl paint and full moondiscs for it. Might be som sunken antennas in the rear roof and some cool trim. Just found some 55 poncho side trim

I ran my "Suede "Swede" as my daily driver for many years . It got tons of looks , lots of good response , was decent on fuel and was fun to drive(worked suspension and a B-20 engine) . Go for it - you won't be sorry .
What mill do you run? You could chop it, and hardtop the doors, the dors is the part that looks most wrong on these cars. To me. Dislike wheels (covers) and light treatment. But all is fixable. Are you in Sweden? Or is the car?

I think it's pretty cool looking for a daily driver. I think I would look for some different wheel covers, try to simplify the grill, lower it slightly and paint it fairly dark. If you are into that 50s custom look, a set of bubble skirts and side pipes could really look cool depending on the state of the roads you drive. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Good looking car, how's the bodywork under the primer? I'm always skeptical buying 1 in primer. Go over it with a magnet before spending a bunch on paint. A full front bumper would look good, another idea would be to remove the lip above the front bumper, bring it down flat and curve under, then run short bumperettes. The rear would look good with the same treatment, or removing the lip again and using a thinner bumper, look at 1968 camaro bumper. I like the car the way it sits. Go over the body. Make sure the body work is good, silver, maroon would look great.
Is it an Amazon ? I once owned an Amazon estate with a rover v8 up front. Was in red primer with steel rims
This is what a stock one looks like. And they are that much fun! There was a American commercial that claimed: driven like you stole em, it's cheaper then a psychiatrist. They are the tri-five of Scandinavia! There are so much different things you cm do with them, all thou I don't love all they did, I wouldn't kick it out of my shop. [emoji12] And yes, we call en Amazon. I own three very different, and I love em. But don't tell anyone, I loose my street credit [emoji41] They handles damn fine, need only minor help to be optimal. Could make good g***ers and early customs.
