Great work . Those gauges are crazy - are they black when not in use ?

Thanks, although it hasn't been without its sacrifices, both financially and socially.

i am building a 1953 210 also with the same chop,i kept the rear gl*** as you have done.I was wondering what or better yet ...how are you going to cut the rear gl***.Its herculite and cannot be cut down.Back then we would just slide the gl*** into the lower part of the frame...I dont want to use Lexan...what are your thoughts...

as promised, I finally painted the car this weekend. It's been a LONG time coming ( id estimate about 300-400 hours of bodywork plus another 30 or so hours actually spraying the car) but well worth the effort. PPG makes a great product, pictures do not do it justice, the pictures below are right out of the gun and are not wetsanded or buffed at all.

    In the booth.

my best attempt to capture the metallic, its very very subtle and will only been seen in direct sunlight.

Beautiful paint job. Shouldn't require very much wet/color sanding at all!!

Its called nighthawk black pearl. Its a black with a little bit of dark blue pearl. So most of the time the car looks black, however under certain lights, like a street light it will have a blue haze.

I was just looking at the pictures again and really like the reflection in the rear fenders/quarters. Can't wait for more updates.

The interior will be very nice , but I have to admit I would have went with black with white pleats. But I love white interiors ! always have. This car is turning out absolutely fantastic. Larry

Starting to shape up. I'm very pleased with the car.

Ran the heater hoses and mounted the heater control valve.

also got the intake installed, I had it powdercoated a while back.
