New to the group and finally joined. Buying a project car this saturday.1955 Buick Special 4 door.no post.I like thease actually.a 4 door that i like.without the post being there it really doesnt look like a 4 door.all the glass is there along with all the original running gear down to the nailhead.couldnt be happier. Not going to be a full resto, just something that i can cruise around and eventually air bag and 4 link.along with my 350 lt1 backed by a turbo 350.
wow thats a great find. hope you got it at a fair price. the no post four door is really cool mix of a hardtop with four doors so it looks good and fits comfortably
its 700, and i talked to the guy today. he said having a trailer there talks(which i have one)and im going with 500. oh yea hes got the pink slip too.!
Not to be a downer or "originality police" but I think you should really consider keeping the Nailhead and Dynaflow. If they're in decent shape it's cool to keep them, but more importantly it's a bit of a challenge to swap engine and transmission combos in those since they had a torque tube type drive shafts.
Love no-posts! Price sounds good, keep the nailhead if you can. Spend the cash on upgrading brakes and suspension possibly. Good luck!!!
thanks guys on the input! im defintly keeping the nailhead if its a runner.the current owner said that the old owner had it running.but we all know how that goes. as far as the torque tube goes ,trust me i know.i have a freind who has the same car and did a swap and 4 linked the car. all im wanting to do is get it running, new tires, brakes, and drive it!
