I'm probably gonna make it there and be tooling around... anyone else? Friday and Saturday 7am to 5pm, Kansas Coliseum, Wichita area... wear a HAMB shirt or a sign around your damn neck so I can sees ya! Usually a good amount of decent crap in there, haven't been in awhile. http://www.hemmings.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/events.detail/id/65200/eventid/65200
Plan to be there Friday and Saturday, but I'm not good at early starts, so I don't expect I'll get any choice parts. If anyone wants to meet at about 10:00 at the concession stand in the building that usually has entire cars instead of parts (sorry, can't remember what it's called) I'll be there with my Denver Flatheaders cap on if I can find it. Otherwise, look for a bald-headed guy with a gray beard. That narrows it down, doesn't it!
I'll be there Thursday afternoon and Friday til about 1. Probably vending outside. Look for a white flatbed ford with Bonneville stickers on it and a few T&A parts for sale. Ben
Like Jim said, '' Let`s all meet in the car corral at 10AM '' I`ll be there Friday morning & Saturday too!
I'll be there sometime friday. I never find any parts I want but I keep going back. Maybe this will be the year to be lucky.
It's a good swap meet. I went last year. Drove 3 hours to buy a 3.00 tail light..... Might have to see what's going on again.
I will be there on Saturday only... Concession stand at 10am... I will be in a black HAMB Drags '05 Tshirt with a "Falcon" cap on (backwards probably)... hope to see some of ya'.
The concession stand I am thinking of as a meeting place is in the building called the "Arena Building," not to be confused with the big "Brit Brown Arena." The other two buildings that have swap meet booths in them are called, rather unimaginatively, "Pavilion I" and "Pavilion II." The Arena Building is the Northeastern-most building. If it is like previous years it will have nothing but intact cars in it and bleachers along the western wall.
I've got booth J-22. There will be a nice 27 roadster body in the booth and another 27 roller on a trailer in the car barn. I'm also working on a deal for a few sets of NOS halibrands that will prolly go for about half price.(Fivespokes and Sprints) This deal isn't set in stone yet but will probablly happen soon. stop in and give me a shout.
Yeah, usually a whole building's worth, prices from a few hundred to tens of thousands... but don't forget to check the parking lot. Lots drive projects to the show and leave them in the lot all day (free advertising you know).
