Im modifying a 32 Chevy hood to go on my 29 Ford roadster (GASP!) and while the contours of the hood look to be easily modded, it seems this hood is going to need some weather stripping that sits a little more proud to support it. I found this image on the interwebs, and was hoping someone could help me identify it:

Even if no one recognizes it, any ideas about finding some stripping that would work better than stock would be great!

    Thanks!

A trip to the "pickApart" might get you just what you need, by looking at the door seals of later model cars.
Most everything now uses a double seal system with a seal on the door itself and also a seal like you require on the pinchweld of the door opening.
Some are thicker than others of course so the pickApart trip would let you compare them to get the best fit.

Jeep Cherokee 1984-1996 (and possibly later) rear hatch seal.

Maybe. That might go 90º the wrong direction.

Looks similar to door weather stripping on 73 to 87 GM trucks.

I remember a trunk seal on a 1986 Pontiac Parisienne that was almost identical to that.

  11. That's what I thought too.
