Hey Folks, My name is Scott Notebom and I'm new to both the HAMB, as well as San Jose-- moved up to the bay area from East Hollywood. Into building & driving both traditional hot rods, as well as some bone stock cl***ics. Currently building a traditionally styled '60 Cadillac, recently finished a motorsickle build, and am the happy new owner of Bill Wishart's '60 Chevy Wagon. Hot rod and Cadillac chromosomes are in my genes. Having grown up around my grandparents Cadillac dealerships in Michigan, big Caddy iron is closest to my heart. In my past i've also worked in the family hot rod shop in So.Cal and an engine / machine shop-- I especially like building motors and generally the mechical side of things. Nowadays, I work at Yahoo-- designing / building and running data centers. Anyway, in the process of rebuilding top end of Caddy and setting up airbags. Looking for a powder coater for my wheels. Do any of you have referrals for coaters in the SJ area? I have watched this forum occasionally and am going to try to participate more. Will post updates and pics of the Cad as I make progress. Current Goal: Caddy ready for Vegas in April. Backup plan: Wishart's wagon runs and looks nice Thanks all. Look forward to meeting local HAMB folks someday soon. Let me know if anyone needs anything from my neck of the woods... -scott noteboom
Welcome to you...pics please... Plus you may want to repost this in the Newbie forum section. B-Frz (West San Jose)
Hmmm.. Wait til the Strangers (car club) hear about you. They are some very cool guys and are just overflowing with love for the Cadillac, in a good way! Welcome to the area, I'm down by Monterey and used to live in Hollywood too! We were near Los Feliz right up the street from Palermo, The Dresden etc... That was about 16 years ago though...San Jose is full of very good car folks..
hey adam, good to see u here. yeah, you do know me.For those that don't know, Adam is tops in tattoos. He did a large traditional Cadillac coat of arms on my back (would post a pic, but kinda vein to ask someone to photo my back, so I don't have one.) during an earlier stint of living in the area. He is a top notch guy.Adam- how's the car project? and when I get the chance I want to move on a traditional boxing tat.-scott noteboom
I've met a couple of the strangers while driving around the '62 Cad I recently sold, seen a couple of their cars, and chatted with Sean a couple times... good guy.I lived in your same former Hollywood 'hood for years. I lived on New Hampshire by Hollywood and Vermont... If you ever saw the tall ugly guy driving a white '62 lincoln convertible around back then, that would have been me. Still make it down to Palermos, as well as the small sushi joint next to the movie theater quite a bit....-scott
Hey Scott. You sold the white '62? Cool to hear you got the bike done. If you need any '60 parts, get ahold of Scotty. He can help you out. Take it easy. Sean
Welcome! I'm in South San Jose with a 65 TBird. Where abouts in SJ are you? That way, I can keep an eye out for you and your Caddy. Speaking of which, there's a '63 for sale near my house. Keep meaning to go take a look. cheers

yeah, all Noteboom's are related to that original Noteboom-- who didnt do anything notable in his life because hot rods weren't invented yet. that said, while i've met his dad Jim (Bones,) i haven't even met Kutty before (even though i think he lived in SoCal when I did...)
