    Going to be installing a '71 Maverick 8" rear on a parallel composite leaf spring kit. What width and backspace wheel are you using on yours? What size tires? Pics would be great.

    15X8 steel smoothie wheel with a 4.5" backspace was what I used. 225 75-R15 tires fit perfectly on my 36.

    Wish I could have found one of those Maverick rears when I built my car. Had to use a '68 Mustang 8". Now I've got 6.5" LTD wheels with 4.5" b/s. Tires are 1/2" from fender lip. Actually turned out very well.

    My friend has an opera coupe and a slantback with 8 inch rears both cars have 15 x 8 American Racing wheels with the std back space I think its 3 3/4. If you need more information PM me and I can take pictures on Saturday.
