THAT IS WAY COOL! I only wish I was there at that time!

 

I know - these cars are cooler than the majority of what we have running now a days.

 

heck yeah! I love the way these cars hustle down the track!

 

Its weird seeing that place without bleachers or a fence.

I remember being out there in the early 70's watching the funny cars with people lined up along the guard rail halfway down the track watching the races. I don't think I've ever seen footage of the track from the 60's. That had to have been a blast.

they also had a moto cross course behind where the stands are now,3 times up and down the hill!

 

And, the place is currently FOR SALE!!! I just hope it does't wind up in the hands of real estate developers. King county should by it, and operate it like Spokane Raceway Park, now owned by the county. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
