I have 2 girls, 7 and 9. I hope someday my girls have the same enthusiasm for building cars with me as that girl did with her dad.

My oldest son use to help me in the garage up until he discovered girls, after that he was useless... my other son never took an interest..... I'm hoping my granddaughter will be the one...

All we had was a daughter too, but that's what we wanted. She's 22 now, and mean as a whip; she was always the perfect kid, straight A student, compe***ive gymnast who advanced to level 9, and wanted to be a Veterinarian. Then she started high school, and did a complete 180. I've spent more money on her, and her automotive woes, than should be allowable by law. I'm doing a radiator now on her OT, POS, import, and she does even live at home any longer; and guess who's footing the bill? She's expressed interest in inheriting my Sedan Delivery, but I just can't do that to MY car, unless she makes some major life changes. Otherwise, it goes to my nephew, like I had originally planned. All you can do is love, and provide encouragement/support to your kids for who and whatever they are. That was always my plan anyways. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

My 16 yo daughter wanted an old truck and I was a little surprised, it's OT here but still 41 years old. Never expected her to get the bug...
