Imported a 1941 Plymouth coupe to the UK as a builder ,once home found missing some side moulding ( does any make repro mouldings ) Also found that the late model chevy axle is just welded to blocks on frame so need the dimensions of the plymouth rear springs so I could look around or have some made

Nobody repops old Mopar trim that I know of... As for the rear springs and axle, I could suggest some stuff, but you being in the UK, most won't help. You can search for build threads here and at the P15 site for info. The 40-48 springs are 2" wide and 50" eye-to-eye on a bare ch***is, 55" overall length (curved). At least, that's what's on the 48 out back. They are also wrapped, but that doesn't matter for a rod. You should be able to contact a spring company and get exact specs. ESPO has a good reputation. Try to find a donor over there that uses an axle that's strong enough and has spring and axle widths that are close or the same as your frame. Grab the axle, springs, hangers and shackles. Or you can go aftermarket if you can't find anything to swap in. Verri...........I just measured my 1940 Oz Dodge rear springs, they are the original and are 1&3/4" wide, have had this car since 1971 so I know they are the original plus I also checked the spare pair I have and they are the same, 1 & 3/4"..............I also had a 1941 Plymouth Coupe and it had the same width springs, unfortunately I sold it a couple of yrs ago so can't go measure it BUT I put a set of 2" lowering blocks on it and they fitted fine.........as for the chrome moldings all the 1941 Plymouth coupes whether P11 or P12 had the same chrome molding running along from the lower edge of the hood(bonnet in our case, lol) BUT ONLY the P12, Special Deluxe had the small, thin chrome molding between this long piece and the window opening........have attached a pic of both the Coupe and Sedan.........btw if you note the chrome molding on the coupe it was actually a piece of 1/2-5/8th chromed PLASTIC molding........yep, whoever did the original "resto" put this plastic molding on, and honestly 99% of people didn't notice it.........and as these were never sold here in Oz I didn't bother trying to replace it...........lol............regards, andyd.........as for a diff.......the Oz 1990 Ford Falcon wagon is a bolt in fit but I suppose that doesn't help you much........regards, andyd
For the trim, I don't think there is anyone making repro stuff. You'll probably need to watch ebay or check vendors that carry some of the nos 40's parts. here is a pretty good list for a starting point: http://www.ply33.com/Parts/vendor For leaf springs, Posie and Eaton Springs (I think) make new replacement springs. You should probably check and make sure the leaf springs mounts haven't been modified, the originals were 1 3/4 inch wide.
