I'm looking at getting a '60 Rambler in the area. Need it either made roadworthy for the drive back to NC, or at least where it can be driven on and off a transport. Anyone? Of course I did have a bad experience with the quality of work I had done in TX when I got my International so please be for real and not out to scam me....

I'm goin' out to Wichita Feb 14th to pick up a Roadmonster - if the car's not far (1/2 hour or so) from town, I might be able to look at it the morning of the 15th - weather and time permitting.

I appreciate it man, but I'm really trying to get it taken care of pretty quick. It's a good deal and I want to jump on it. If I can't get it looked at this weekend I'll probably just get it and have it taken to a shop. I'd rather have a HAMB'er work on it for me but any good references would help.

After a few days of thinking I'm hedging on the whole thing. I need another car like I need a hole in the head.... but then again $500 isn't bad for a '60 Rambler....

  11. seems like we got lots of guys in the area. Probably most of them are at the swap this weekend. The raven will be there this weekend also. if you want PM me your number I'll try and get ahold of him and see if he can give it a look see.

If push come to shove we can try and figure out a way to get it over here and I'll get it goin' for ya. Do you know what all it needs?

You gonna take it or not?

  14. Z-man-Not to discourage ya but........
I have a red 2 dr wagon like that I bought here in a HAMB auction.....Also had a twin to the white one when I was 16,and I can attest -they weren't much of a runner -EVEN-when new[-er]:D ....Id hate to think it would run as far as home if I was you! also not many shops would have a clue about these cars....Ha!
If I remember they had some motor probs and brakes were weird too....
sheet metal intake or exhaust manifolds and a few had ALL ALUMINUM FH six that was real lame.....

I doubt I'm gonna take it. It'd be stretching things a little thin right now. If anyone wants the number PM me.

As for Choprods thinking I'd be dissapointed, well I have a 364 Nailhead and 4 speed set up sitting on the floor in the shop, I doubt I'd be for long :D
