So we know it's not a full hubcap right?

 

Put the liner from a hardhat under it and you could wear it.

 

Looks like a 40s aftermarket dogdish.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a chrome plated hard hat with a picture of a guy with a camera on it.

 

Its a '51", Made in Roswell, NM.

Not sure how long they have been made but you can still get them from one of the aftermarket wheel companies. I bought a set a few years ago. They fit the cheap chrome wheels. Similar to the Shannon cap
