Every piece of the red fuel line i have used has failed. There is another thread about this somewhere and some good ideas were presented.

kinda figured that but, my carbs are front fed and the red line seemed to be a cheap way out. plus i like the way they look. i will carry a fire ext., some regular fuel line, and your phone number till i see what happens. lol

Here's the set up on my old '40. It's a Fenton manifold. The hardest part was flairing and bending the stainless tubing correctly.

If you are going to run red fuel line, buy alot of it and replace them often, if you inspect your line on a regular basis you should be alright.

Here's mine. I modified carbs myself with parts from Vintage speed. Used there fuel lines and fuel block, etc. They were a big help to me.

  12. I have bent fuel/brake line as mine. It is not the best, but I don't hate it either. Best thing is that you could paint it any color you want, it is CHEAP and you can bent it any way you can think of...with the exception of it in a knot.

update... got the carbs rebuilt on the Dirty34 by Mister Carburetor out in cedar hill. had a leak in the center when i got em back and took that leaky center carb off night before last and he fixed it up right quick (over lunch no less)! put it back on last night and she fired up this morning great.

Curb: How the hell are ya? Are you working on that '36? coupe?

I did fire the motor, but I just ran it for 30 seconds. I am restoring a heater for it, and making radiator hoses, so can hook up cooling and run it, and set timing etc...

Clamps are stainless, I got them from Vaphead when he worked ar Vintage. He may be able to get them still. Check with him.

Here's mine. Couple of things might go unseen. Stainless steel Rotary blades flatten the tops of air cleaners. The SS linkage and lines are home shop fabricated at almost no cost. The oil fill tune is aluminum bar drilled and threaded for rear axle style cap. The line from the sealed oil fill goes to early Corvette PCV valve installed in center carburetor. This facilitated the running of early style Valve covers. Current project has a short tube from rear carburetor to PVC valve in rear of the intake manifold.
