I just swapped a Granada rear end into my 51'Ford shoebox. Well... I thought I thought of everything but when I went to throw my rear wheels on my new axle the center bore is too small. I Over looked that. I have the 15x5 5 on 4.5 stock wheels. The Back spacing, what I thought would be the problem, is fine. It's just the center bore needed is about 2.77" and what I have is less than that. Does any one out there know of a 15" steel wheel that will work with my Granada 8"? the back spacing needs to be rough;y 3.60 to 4", center bore 2.77", 5 on 4.5", 15x5 or 15x6.
Or worst case scenario does anyone know of one with bigger bore that has an available spacer to fit 2.77? Not crazy about using a spacer but If that's what needs to be done then thats what needs to be done. Thanks for any help.

I've had to file out centers at times. If it's just maybe 1/6 th of an inch maybe you can just file it,

found that problem too. Ford 14" rims have a larger center than most 15". getting harder to find steel rims at wrecking yards too. aftermarket steel wheels is one option. that is what I did.

If you can't find wheels to fit, you can pull the axles and have the axle turned to fit the wheels, just listing it as an option if that is your only option to get them to fit.

Any one of these is an option.I'd fix the axles myself.

Center hole bigger on MoPar wheels. Many choices from Plymouth to Chrysler as far as rim width & hubcap mounting.

Got any friends with a lathe? This is no more than a 1/2 hour job.

80's Bronco II 4WD have the large center holes. Mopars may fit but can't use Ford sized cap if that's an issue

Thanks for the suggestions. I did it the old fashioned way. On car brake lathe at work and a good angle grinder. Left a shoulder big enough to index the drum. Worked like a charm. Probably not the "right" way but the tried and true hot rod and custom way of days long a go. Actually back then they just dropped it in gear and went to town. No brake lathe needed. Thanks again.
