I need some help with my rear axle. It's a 60 model 9 inch that came out of a p***enger car. The flanges are for 5 on 4.5. I'm running 51 Lincoln wheels that are 5 on 5.5. There isn't enough meat to redrill. Do I have any options on maybe truck axles that will fit?

by the time you fiddle around with finding some, shortening and resplining and redrilling, you could have these installed:

trebll, that page is for chevy axles. the fords are closer to 400 bucks!

You can have F-150 style axles shortened and resplined by Moser but you will need to find the axles and then pay shipping both ways, or a Strange street axle package with bearings and studs retails at $405 and I can do better for HAMB'ers.

'57 - '59 Station Wagon, Ranchero, Flip-Top Covertible, and Convertible 9" are 'big bearing' rear-ends. They are 52" and have 'pie platter' ends. They are rare as orthothics for snakes with fallen arches but can be had, and easily redrill to 5 on 5 &1/2" pattern. No narrowing needed for use with Early Fords.

hardest part of the entire build to this point has been the complaining " what have I let you talk me into", "I had a perfectly nice 51 Chevy truck" , and my favorite "#%€@ hot rods" from junkbike.

 

Early bronco rear will work, has the right bolt pattern.
