Unfortunately, events in my life are forcing me to sell one of my two projects. This 1938 Oldsmobile is a project car that I bought back in 2012 and quickly started wrenching on her and searching for parts. She is a 2Dr Hump Back or Trunk Back Touring Sedan. The motor was frozen when i bought it but after about a gallon of Marvel Mystery Oil and WD-40 she freed up and spins smoothly with good compression. I did try to start it on starting fluid and my father in laws 6v battery out of his Model A. However the starter is missing its solenoid so it wasn't getting enough juice, and thus we weren't able to get it shaking. On top of that the wiring is in very bad disarray and wouldn't trust any of it. I have found and purchased quite a few bits and pieces for the car and have started to refinish most of them however like I stated in the beginning, events in my life have pushed me to the end of my ownership days of this mostly intact car. I have a complete set of headlights, complete set of tail lights, most of the trim for the sides of the car, all of the interior window trim, and most of the pieces for the dashboard that some of which i have started to refinish. The body of the car is in decent shape but definitely needs work. The rear fenders are still in really great shape and the front fenders are a great candidate for rebuilding. the floors in the car are pretty much Swiss cheese in the front seat area as well as the trunk and starting to get to the same point in the back seat area. The doors and the trunk lid have cancer and need to be addressed as well as the lower body panel under the trunk lid and the rockers both inside and out. All of the handles on the car work as they should but i don't have the original keys so the locks and the ignition switch will need to be changed. Bumper wise I have a 1938 Buick front bumper that i was toying around with the idea of using on the car as long as i could get a rear but i still haven't found one in as nice condition. The windows that are still left in the car are all shot and will need to be replaced. The car has a clean NJ ***le and i have copies of the Michigan ***le that i was originally given. I have an original service manual for the car as well as a blank set of GM / Briggs & Stratton keys. All of the original flyers, manuals, articles, and parts that i bought for the car will go with the car when sold. I am asking 2000 for the whole lot but will go as low as 1800. I have put close to 4000 into the car with all the parts, paperwork, and or the gas and tolls from driving to the many swap meets that i have been to so i fee that 2000 is reasonably fair price. Please send me a message if you are interested in buying the car or have any questions about it. For a full scope on the car go to my album and check her out.
