Are you kidding me, if you were banned that site would just about become pointless.

LOL...you do have a point there....I do have more smites(negatives) than anyone else there!
I still can't get on. I've rebooted my computer, rebooted the router, used system restore to go back to a point before I had any problems. I can get the home page to open, but not the forum. I even tried going "in the back door" by clicking on specific threads I had saved in my favorites list. clicking on the "diagnose problems" ****on brings back a message saying they pinged the host server with no response.
Zap, would you pm James, or do a post asking if he made any changes to the system that might affect some of us on older computers (I'm running Vista). Thanks buddy.

consider it done.......... did a post and asked James for help, and by the way smites should be taken for what they are basicly sour g****s. have a few myself has never bothered me. going to go back and PM James.

Got right on with my friend's laptop, so it's definetly in my system somewhere. I may have to bring it to a computer shop.
I don't take (most of) the smites seriously...most of them were done in fun anyway, like the time I mentioned I just bought a new Toyota, then there were the ones I got for saying I thought Thunder Road was a really bad movie. One of the moderators told me to do a self imposed ban for a week over that one, lol.

Come on guys,Thunder Road was a pretty good movie considering,I grew up in moonshine country and my granddad was guilt of working in the non taxed liquor business so I guess I just relate to the movie..

My friend Randy Nash (Deuce Roadster) RIP was fortunate to be with his dad in Asheville,N.C. when they were filming part of Thunder Road and that experience is what sold Randy on '57 Fords. HRP

You eluded to some disharmony on that site..it would seem that a site dedicated to one car everyone would try and get along.

I am the administrator on the '54 Ford Club of America's forum and what a pleasure to work with guys that are there to help each other,,whether it's a restorer or hot rodder there are never any problems....

Well, I take that back Jeff and I have a running feud about electric fans verses mechanical fans, much like we do here but it's all in good fun. HRP

No, it was in jest. If I was annoyed at the site, I wouldn't have mentioned it. The 57fordsforever forum is an unbelievably pleasant place. We have true restoration guys, lowriders, Customs, resto mods, racing (lots),you name it. From all walks of life also....the budget guys (like me) to guys with big collections that have all their work done for them.. It doesn't matter, we just all get along, and the fact that we do is frequently commented on by guys who joined our site for that reason.because they were tired of the BS elsewhere. I meet with 3 or 4 of the members from Colorado every year, met one from Phoenix last year, one from Taos, met one from BC Canada and one from washington, both in Phoenix on coinsiding vacations. This week I'll be meeting a member from the Witchita, Ks area, have talked on the phone with 3 or 4 other members (Jeff being one of them...he told me to watch out for you (just kidding)). Next month I'll be getting to shake hands finally with Zapoto when he visits Texas.
edit....I just realized you were talking about our Jeff here, I was thinking Jeff Norwell.....see why I get in trouble!

I got back on the '57 forum on my computer tonight. The guy that's buying my windshield suggested I dumped all my browsing history. Apparently the computers use the recent browsing history for the complete address when you click to go to a website. If that address somehow got corrupted, the computer will still try to use it not knowing. If you dump your browsing history it gets rid of that corrupted address.

Good to hear you go back on. I've lurked around on the 57 site. I've always wanted a 57 Ranchero (even back when they were pretty common...should've bought one back then).

Danny's right. Our little corner of the world at the 54 Ford forum doesn't move anywhere near as fast as the HAMB but there is zero drama and every conceivable variant of car (restored, customs, restomods, g***ers, etc, etc).

You can keep it clean with a freeware I've had for several years: http://download.cnet.com/Advanced-SystemCare-Free/3000-2086_4-10407614.html
