There have been quite a few images of Kansas City's Bob Sullivan and his Pandemonium cars in this thread, but I can't recall seeing this one.

 

The result of a bunch of drag racers sitting around and eyeing a TF dragster engine and Bob Sullivan's wife's brand new Barracuda...a Mazooma shot.

Yup, my shot from Fontana "Drag City". Notice the open face helmet, t-shirt and no gloves......imagine getting to drive a nitro car like that today!...

I don't think it is Muncie Tommy as it is a little wide, there is no grass down the middle and the tree line is where the road would be.

Graham "Googie" Withers in the Ampol GT dragster at Castlereagh Dragway, Sydney, Australia. A Kellison kit chassis/body that was the first "modern" top fuel car in Oz. Prior to this Eddie Thomas' wedge (and later late hemi) clone of Tony Nancy's silver 22 Jr and Ash Marshall's Vandal were the only local fuel cars.

 

Ford powered ! That's gotta hurt you Chevy guys!

 

I wonder if the kids on the bikes are still telling this story to their disbelieving friends?
