That's the closest I've ever been to talking to a legend, minus the time I was allowed to hang out with Mr. Jim Wangers and Arnie "the Farmer" Beswick.

I can't even believe it is real.

    I didn't have any questions...yet that is..
But i just have to say an opportunity like this is pretty damn cool!

To be able to ask advice or general questions from some of the guy's that you look up to, and in many cases may have been influential in your interest in these thing's to begin with is something i never thought i'd be able to do if i wanted..

    VERY cool Ryan..
And thanks to both you and the AHRF team!

Frank De Rosa's answer was my favorite, cool to know that he got started in the biz by turning sedans into pickups during WWII Gene Winfield had some good answers, too.

I enjoyed hearing Ivo talk about his car being the badest bear in the woods. Must have been some fun times back then.

Ryan, thank you for allowing us to listen in on the answers from the "Hot Rod Heroes." And thanks to the AHRF for providing the impetus for such a thing. Damn, we here at the HAMB are truly blessed!

EDIT: moved this to the main board....

Exactly HOW do they record these fellas?

I've bought a voice modem to record my grandpa and it was horrible on the clarity.

I bought the box from radio shack that allows you to record telephone conversations. Great if you are putting it on tape but I can't get enough volume when running it into the computer and recording it to MP3. I want MP3 so I can share it here....

Who is in charge of recoding on that site? I'd like to contact them...

I need to try this, it has a volume attenuator (sp??) built in....
