Ryan, Oh RYAN??? You know girls are alway right even when you know they're wrong. Unless you don't want anymore of Her .....
about a week or so ago i told my wife that men get to be right once a year. i picked mine that day. as it turns out i was wrong...
I had not seen the movie either.. looks pretty good if the rest is as good as that clip. 49-51 Mercs are some of the most beautiful customs ever, they are also the cars that get ruined the most by people that have no business messing with them. Ryan, the girls are right and you probably owe them dinner......
Man, that car has a perfect chop. Never seen the flick. I don't care if they're cliché, I'd love to have a chopped Mercury.
If that's Harry Mohoff's Merc, (there's one almost identical to it) it's the first chopped car I ever rode in...
Add me to the list who never saw it...and now want to after seeing that clip. Lol And oohhhh boy is that Merc hot! There is nothing about the way it looks id change!! Yep, she's right Tony
Model A hiboys with built flatheads have become pretty cliche too........................but that don't mean we should stop huggin' that teddy bear............................... Score one (or maybe two) for the chicks!!
You see chopped Mercs at every car show. And it doesn't matter how often you see them they never get tiresome. They are right at home in any car venue. They are like a beautiful young girl, I no longer want one, but never tire of looking and ogling them.
Well I have to be that I would have to be the first to admit that I have had a lot of fun in a chopped merc more then once but the likelihood of me owning one is zero to none. I'll take a fast beater over a smooth sled any day. That said the shirt in the fan belt is some pretty funny chit right there.
I'm not even a "huge" fan of chopped Mercs, but that car just screams SEXY!....And the honey in the passenger seat warms my pantalones as well. So cool that you and Keith have ladies that you can even enjoy a fun and educated conversation about such cars. Of course I wouldn't expect anything less being as how their spouses are totally immersed in the culture.
Of course the girls were right. Y'all stepped in it with that conversation. I did a poll of sorts for about 6 months. Any female near my computer was treated to all the car images I saved. I had lead sleds and hot rods of many forms. Lowered 60s cars, hiboys, Mercs and 49-52 Chevy examples, gassers and even some muscle stuff. I found that low n slow got the nod of approval most of the time. Those who didn't prefer the custom, even a dropped early 60s ride? I sort of knew it in advance based on who they were. I'll bet that "...yes dear..." was a bit forced out, wasn't it?
Kinda just affirms the old adage;...Customs are for getting the girls, Hot-Rods are for getting rid of 'em.
