It's at an auction in KS next weekend, and I think they may have ID'ed it wrong. It's listed as a 35 Chevy.
Yep, a '35 Master; the '35 Standard was a totally different looking car, which serves to confuse people.
Wait a min ... It's a 36 Master. The 35 Master had suicide doors. see: https://www.google.com/search?q=193...gc4KUjE=&ved=0CCcQyjc&ei=1M0pVfqMKYimNpm7g9gN
See, even confusing to someone that thinks they know about old Chevy's; the door deal is interesting, learn something new all the time.
Yup, '36 Chevrolet- if it has a solid front axle, it's a standard and if it has knee-action, it's a master. The '36 still has a wood-framed body structure.
Car in the orig post is a standard with a straight axle. The front spring mounts are located under the round covers behind the bumper brackets. 36 master also had chrome trim on the hood lovers.
Here you go ... it's a '36 Standard Sport Sedan. (The plain Sedan has no trunk). 3 p***enger models in 1936 confuses people - FA is a Master with knees. FB is commercial. FC is Standard. FD is a Master with an axle.
My grand parents had one like that that they bought new in 1936 and parked behind the garage in 1948 when they bought a fleetline fastback. My grandmother wanted to save it for me but my grandfather sold it for 10.00 to a neighbor and never got paid for it.
