Has anyone tried the Acoustic Tachometer, "FREE" app for an Android? Works great on my 53' Flathead with the origional 6 volt system still in place. I do have the dwell and tack engine ****yzer from Sears that I bought new 40 years ago and that works fine even on my 6 volt system. I even hooked up a tach and mounted it in the car. I didn't like the appearance and couldn’t see the speedometer so I took it out. I could help with determining shift points on the Merc-O-Matic when driving. I have used the GPS to verify the speedoneter was accurate. Just trying to make this new fangled technology work for me. Believe me when I say the most used tool in the box over the last few years has been my digitial camera. Can't get film for the Brownie Starflash any more!
I'm gonna shoot Larry. I wasn't going to but since he wrote me into his will . . . No one is going to appreciate this but I still fly by the seat of my pants. I did get a speedometer that works for my bike though. That's almost a first, I haven't had a bike with a working speedometer since I was 14.
Just had this discussion with the girl friend last night as to why i didnt have a speedo (or gauges in general) on my Triumph. Lol ****** please a small caliber to shoot Larry, and hit no vital organs as we need him around for his witty banter To the OP, never tried the app. I have a smart phone but im a dumb guy so i just use the old fashioned stuff. Like a hard wired tach.
Acoustic tach? After installing solid core plug wires in my 1963 Corvair I called my AM radio an "audio tach."
Damn you guys, do you have any idea how ******** much trouble it is to try to explain to a couple of coworkers why the hell I am sitting here laughing until tears come to my eyes.
