Very early shot of the ''Behemouth''. Raced for half a season like this then went in for the paint that everyone knows it by.
Hillbilly Duncan. We beat him in the stock final one Saturday night at Kilkare and he accused us of cheating. He said no Cobra-Jet Fairlane could run more MPH than him. Said if we showed up at Columbus the next day he was going to protest us. Well , He cooled off, we broke a converter and nothing came of it. Just a little story to go with the photo.
Joe Kenney. Beat us in the final for class at Indy. I watched his guys met him before the scales with the back seat bottom and re-install it in the car. Wonder how much it weighed?
I wanted to make my 61 chevy Parkwood look like an old Junior Stock we found in a barn somewhere. Eventually we will paint it but that will not be anytime soon
Your welcome. Kyle Marshall told me that going from the Hydro to the Glide in his delivery picked it up .15.
Hello...I found out my Dad's 67 Chevy (The Tanker) in this picture may still be around and may even be for sale as a rolling chassis! If anyone has any info on it please let me know! Thanks!
Looks like your Dad had a nice variety of Cool Cars! Find that 67 and return it to its former Jr. Stock Glory!!
II funny, I don't think so, pretty sure it was somebody else's.I think the real Hydrophobia Stocker was Archie's first racecar but not the last one.
Speaking of the Hydrophobia, I ran across this article with a picture of it the other day before it was letterd, seems even extraterrestrial's found Junior Stockers cool.
