Projects New Project, Sort of, 60 Olds 2dr, LSR updates start!

Hey, thanks guys. I think these tires will be fine, I have run older ones than these thousands of miles at highway speeds without issue. Thanks for your concern.

 

I think these cars look great with bellflower tips, so I ordered them. They have that body line on the rear quarter where they tuck under nicely.

 

Took my son, who is home from college for spring break, for a ride in the Olds. He loved it.

 

The transformation begins! Got the tires on the wheels today.These wheels are real 1968 date coded chrome reverse.

 

Ok so get em on there...and while the wheels are off cut a coil and bring it down a tad

 

They look great, and a little taller than the radials on there, too.

 

Looks cool but I'd be wary of the NOS tires as well.

 

There can always be problems, however I have run older ones thousands of trouble free miles

 

Actually they do look taller but they are an inch shorter than the 70's Bias plies that rare currently on the car.

 

Yes, need to get it up in the air first and do some measuring, then some blocks and cut front coils just got to do some figuring first so I can maybe only do it once!

 

Still in parts collecting mode, got the 30" Bellflower tips today from Mooneyes. they fit perfect on those rear quarters.

 

I like where this is going, Awesome car.

 

Its on the alignment rack after 2" blocks and 1 1/4 coils off the front! Big change!

 

With the new/old tires and wheels!

 

Next Chaddilac is coming tomorrow to outline the roof scallops and do what he does!

Chaddilac came out friday and worked his magic, just enough blue and silver stripes.

 

Had some custom dash knobs made by Traditional Dash Knobs. Nic did an awesome job and they look great! The flake in the blue is amazing in the sun. He even did a key chain and door lock knobs

That is so s****. Great score and even better updates. I've had a few of the early 60's Olds' and I still get separation anxiety over my '62. Ain't nuthin' quite like sailing an Oldsmobile landbarge down the lanes. The float itself is worth the trip, but I think those ridiculously cool steering wheels are what gives it that extra magic mojo. Tough to beat.
