First impression was a bantam coupe but an A coupe with no visor would look similar.

They started with a dream and ended up with a nitemare!

  9. At a first quick glance:
Looks like an A coupe with the trunk bobbed, and body slid back.
However that's a lot of work.
    I'm thinking its a 4dr

There's no way I'd bob the trunk now.
But man oh man there's Soooooo much work back there for a hole just big enough for her purse. Next one :)

Used to build stuff like that with AMT kits back in the 1960's. Looks like a Model A belt line, Tudor, Fordor, or Coupe, lots of welding and Bondo slinging. Bob

Not sure what the car is, but what about the angle of the motor. I thought that the motor had to sit level.

If it runs carbs and you want reasonable driving on the street yes but a fi engine or one set up for a quarter mile at a time the angle might not be so critical as long as the float bowls feed the fuel to the engine right on full acceleration or it has FI.

Take the front doors off, slide the cowl back. Easy peasy. When you come back from the commercial it will be done. Just like on TV.

  23. If you look with builders eyes and x-ray vision you'll see the crank CL pointed directly at the pinion with a really short DShaft or coupling.

Compared to the front tires, I'd say the balancer is around the 24" rule.

Sure would like to see some more pics of it.

I'm thinking that is a coupe made to fit on a dragster ch***is like a drag master for the old comp coupe cl*** , that qtr window is defiantly coupe...

In cold country it was common to see poor model a coupes lose their tail and become tractor cabs it may have started out that and sliced more ?

I think it looks pretty bad *** ... i wanna drive!

What is the 24" rule? Does the crank have to be within a certain distance from the ground?

The roof and belt line says A coupe, the lower body seems to be something else. The visor was mercilessly bobbed off to near nothing, I can't seem to get my head around the weird belt lines above the fender. Also, an A coupe has a continuous line down the 1/4 panel which is missing. Did they seriously take the time to surgically remove part of it? While it looks cobbled by today's ability it might have been really something in it's day. Very snotty looking and I'd bet it was just as snotty to handle at WFO.
