Technical Can Anyone Identify These Parts? (Old)

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Nice Guy, Apr 17, 2015.

  1. Does anyone recognize these?

I guess they are rear axle housings for something very old.

I found them in the back yard of a house I bought in the mountains. If they are rare or useful to someone, maybe I can find them a good home? Otherwise, I'll use them as material to build something else that needs a stand.

  2. I'll guess that those are rope stanchions.... like for a restaurant or movie theater with velvet-covered rope. The 'bolt holes' are for either permanent mounting or held rubber bumpers.

Is there a machined surface on the inside?? If not then id guess stanchions too.

  6. OK, nothing like parts for a horseless carriage?

The consensus seems to be that they are not car parts.
In that case, I'm relieved to know I can throw them in the scrap pile.
    Clutter BE-GONE!

    Thanks everyone.
